grant hill 1991 ncaa title game alley-oop

One vote.  That is all that separated a winning dunk (Travis Cohn) from a losing dunk (Shay Shine) in Round 1 of our 2010/11 College Dunk of the Year Tournament.  In other matchups, Lee University's Larriques Cunningham dominated - all three of his dunks advanced to our Elite Eight round, winning their matchups with 64%, 57% and 53% of the votes, respectively.  Rounding out the Elite Eight, Oregon State's Jared Cunninghman grabbed 53% of the vote in his matchup, Kenny Gabriel 59%, C.J. Fair 54% and Dwayne Lathan 63%.

The Elite Eight round of voting is now open.  The rules are pretty simple: you, the reader, vote for which dunk is the best between each pair (please only vote once per dunk - no ballot stuffing - that's why a valid e-mail address is required for each voting ballot). Each round of voting will be open for a week and we'll continue until we have crowned our champion.

So let's get the show on the road - voting for the Elite Eight ends this Sunday at midnight Eastern.
