The Hoops Manifesto has teamed up with the best NCAA hoops writers on Bloguin to vote on our NCAA All-American teams after the third month of play. These teams will be updated monthly going forward until the end of the college hoops season this spring. Here's the 10 best players, in our estimation, as we march towards the madness of March.
Voters: Jeff Fox from The Hoops Manifesto, Phillip from Rise Northwestern, Flounder from Leftover Hot Dog and Marco Radenkovich from Horns to the Hardwood.
First Team All-Americans

Guard - Kemba Walker - Connecticut - Junior
24.2 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 4.3 apg, 2.1 spg
Guard - Jimmer Fredette - BYU - Senior
27.6 ppg, 4.3 apg, 3.5 rpg
Guard - Nolan Smith - Duke - Senior
21.0 ppg, 5.6 apg, 4.7 rpg
Forward - Jared Sullinger - Ohio State - Freshman
18.0ppg, 9.9 rpg, 57.7 % FG
Forward/Center - JaJuan Johnson - Purdue - Senior
20.7 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 2.1 bpg
Synopsis: It appears that it's a three-player race for national Player of the Year honours, with Jimmer Fredette, Kemba Walker and Jared Sullinger going neck and neck and neck. Walker plays in the toughest conference and has scored in double-digits every Huskies' game thus far; Fredette is the sweetheart of the nation this year after his explosive scoring outbursts, playing the role of a new age Stephen Curry; while Sullinger has been incredibly effective for a freshman for the undefeated Buckeyes - perhaps even better than the stellar freshmen big men of Ohio State's recent past. But what about Nolan Smith for Player of the Year? The senior Dookie has taken his game to an another level this season, with significant increases in all his stat categories from his junior year. And Purdue's JaJuan Johnson is no slouch, either, as he's the best center in the country and excels at both ends of the floor.
Second Team All-Americans

Guard - E'Twaun Moore - Purdue - Senior
17.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.4 apg
Guard/Forward - Jordan Hamilton - Texas - Sophomore
19.0 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 2.4 apg
Forward - Kawhi Leonard - San Diego St - Sophomore
15.3 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 2.7 apg
Forward - Kyle Singler - Duke - Senior
18.0 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.2 spg
Forward - Marcus Morris - Kansas - Junior
16.7 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 59.9% FG
Synopsis: JaJuan Johnson isn't the only Boilermaker having a great senior season - teammate E'Twaun Moore is also having the best year of his collegiate career, albeit an up and down one. Texas has been a pleasant surprise this year and look to be a darkhorse Final Four contender, and they're led by sophomore wing Jordan Hamilton, who has already posted five double-doubles this season (two in his last three games). And speaking of surprises, how about San Diego State this season- despite their setback to BYU, the Aztecs are for real, and so is double-double machine (14 this year) Kawhi Leonard. Duke may have lost more games than expected thus far, but you can't place the blame for that on Kyle Singler, who has been his usual steady, exceptional self. The Morris twins have been carrying Kansas all season, with Marcus providing a strong, and efficient, scoring punch.
