Bloguin's NBA Awards: Rookie of the Year & All-Rookie Team

With the NBA regular season coming to a close it's time for awards week at The Hoops Manifesto. We've teamed up with some of Bloguin's best NBA writers to vote on who gets the (virtual) hardware. Next up: Rookie of the Year and All-Rookie Team.
Voters: Jeff Fox from The Hoops Manifesto, Philip from Orlando Magic Daily, College Wolf and Dan Bonk from TWolves Blog, Aaron Hodges from Knicks Fanatics and Sean François from from Hoop Heads North.
Bloguin's NBA Rookie of the Year
Blake Griffin - Los Angeles Clippers
22.5 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 3.8 apg
Was there really any other choice for NBA Rookie of the Year other than Blake Griffin (well, one of our voters thought so, but he is apparently mentally deranged)? Griffin was a breath of fresh air in Clipperland this season- he played in all 82 games, played hard, practiced hard and is a player with nothing but upside. While now he is mostly known as a dunking machine, he is working hard on expanding all aspects of his game. Considering the damage he did this season with his "limited" skills, the rest of the League must be cowering thinking of what Griffin will be capable of as he learns the game.
Others receiving votes: Landry Fields
Bloguin's NBA All-Rookie Team
Blake Griffin - Los Angeles Clippers
22.5 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 3.8 apg
John Wall - Washington Wizards
16.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 8.3 apg
Landry Fields - New York Knicks
9.7 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 86-219 3Pts
Greg Monroe - Detroit Pistons
9.4 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 55.1% FG
Gary Neal - San Antonio Spurs
9.8 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 129-308 3Pts
Next up: Defensive Player of the Year & All-Defensive Team
Previous awards: Most Improved Player, Coach of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year
