Every Sunday The Hoops Manifesto and some of the web's best NCAA hoops writers come together to vote on the four best teams in the country, our Fabulous Four, plus the best team from a non-BCS conference. We present to you the Fab Four Plus One - because who has time to read a list of 25 teams.
Voters: Jeff Fox from The Hoops Manifesto, Flounder from Leftover Hot Dog, Philip from Rise Northwestern and Ray Bala from The Can Ball Report.
Fabulous Four
1) (Last week - 1) Ohio State - 19 (out of possible 20) points
Record: 28-2
Games this week: Today vs Wisconsin, Big Ten Tournament (Thurs, Fri, Sat)
"The Buckeyes have righted the ship after their loss at Purdue - they've won their last three games by double-digits and won the Big Ten regular season title." - Jeff Fox
"Another chance at Wisconsin should be plenty of motivation for Ohio State to win on the final day before the Big Ten Tournament. Would be a great way to cap off the season." - Philip
"Back-to-back blowout wins and Sullinger only scores 15 in both? Come on. With other guys stepping up in games it's safe to say that there isn't a better team in college basketball. How many other teams can have a guy who averages 17 points and 10 rebounds have off nights and still crush good teams? Exactly." - Ray Bala
"Sullinger does not fear Chuck Norris and the Buckeyes owe their season to him. Jared that it is." - Flounder
2) (3) Kansas - 17 points
Record: 29-2
Games this week: Big 12 Tournament (Thurs, Fri, Sat)
"It's taken all season, but the Jayhawks have finally won me over by going 4-1 versus top 25 teams and winning the Big 12 regular season title." - Jeff Fox
"The Jayhawks wrapped up the Big 12 with an impressive victory at Missouri. The Morris brothers have been a fantastic duo all season long and Kansas, despite some hiccups, are probably one of the more consistent teams in the country." - Philip
"Big wins over Texas A&M and Missouri show that this team is the cream of the crop in the Big 12. They look like they are one scare away from possibly running all the way to the NCAA Championship game in April." - Ray Bala
"Big 12 crown is owed to the Morris boys and team being ranked first overall in FG % and assists per game." - Flounder
3) (2) Pittsburgh - 12 points
Record: 27-4
Games this week: Big East Tournament (Thurs, Fri, Sat)
"The Big East is immensely fierce this season, with perhaps as many as 10 teams making the NCAA Tournament. The fact that Pitt came out on top (during the regular season) of the conference's shark-infested waters bodes well for their chances in March." - Jeff Fox
"The Panthers have been pretty consistent all season. As much as any team, really. Pitt has flown underneath the radar all year, patiently waiting the team's turn to reach the top of the polls." - Philip
"Make no mistake about it, Pitt is looking to claim that top spot in the toughest conference in college basketball. Right now, who can argue with them? Two solid wins and a tough overtime loss to Louisville only confirms that the Big East is damn good overall, not that Pitt is slipping." - Ray Bala
"Survived the Big East. That statement says a lot about the Champs." - Flounder
4) (NR) Notre Dame - 4 points
Record: 25-5
Games this week: Big East Tournament (Thurs, Fri, Sat)

"This one is a huge shocker to me - in no way did I expect Notre Dame to be one of the best team's in the nation this year. 6-2 versus top 25 teams?! Ridiculous!" - Jeff Fox
"A good mix of luck and being good but when will the luck of the Irish run out?" - Flounder
Top Non-BCS Team
BYU - two votes out of four
Record: 28-3
Games this week: Mountain West Tournament (Thurs, Fri, Sat)
"The Cougars are still the top non-BCS team, but how long they are able to hold on to that crown without Brandon Davies is yet to be seen." - Jeff Fox
"Losing huge to New Mexico after losing a star player was tough but the adjustments were made and they came back to destroy Wyoming. Jimmer may be the second coming of Wally Szczerbiak. With Brandon Davies now gone Fredette may need to be Wally World for this team." - Ray Bala
